In 1991, after five years of running his creative holography business out of the living room of he and his partners home, he moved down the road and took over the premises of the former engineering company, SciMechs. SciMech's was owned and run by Mr Lovelock, who specialised in making the mirror mounts, and spatial filters used for making holograms. Sadley, My Loevlock passed away and his wife dissolved the business. Rob, and the Royal College of Art had been a a good customer of SciMechs, and Mrs Lovelock was only too happy for him to take over the premises. The premises itself was a large unit in the back garden of their house. Rob remained at his Wheatash Road studios until the passing of it's owner Mrs Lovelock around 1998.
